Our loving father, grandfather, and friend, Mike K passed away late Saturday after a long battle with illness. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Harold and Betty Jean Calton Kelsey.
Mike's brothers and sisters are: Kelly Dean Kelsey, Kaven Rae Kelsey, John David Kelsey, Robbin (Kelsey) Williams, and Melody (Kelsey) Wade.
Mike dearly loved his children: Braydon Lee, Amber Dawn, Mike David, and Trisha Mitchel. He loved all children and was an adopted father and grandfather to many family and neighborhood children. He dedicated his remaining time on this earth to assuring the well-being of the children (particularly Braydon Lee).
Mike was a fighter for cause throughout his life; he turned that determination to win in his fight against the many physical ailments that besieged him. Oblivious to pain and suffering he was tenacious in overcoming many great obstacles to obtain his spiritual goals. Mike was a member of the LDS Church and was extremely dedicated to any calling or assignment. He was particularly proud of his calling as a Home Teacher which he took very seriously to the extent that he was an inspiration in motivating others to fulfill their callings to the best of their ability.
Mike graduated from West High where he loved sports and excelled in football (He was a dedicated and avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys). He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
