Cyril Cyrus Kelly, 82, of Latonia, died at 9 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired employee of G.I. Loan Services department of the Veterans Administration. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, Latonia, where he was an usher and active in the church boosters. He was a member of Holy Name Society and St. Vincent DePaul Society, and a founding member of Stroke Club at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, Edgewood. He was a Fourth Degree member of Knights of Columbus and a member of Bluegrass Hoppers square-dancing group. Mr. Kelly was active in 4H and Future Farmers of America and was a musician. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
His wife, Ruth P. Rowbotham Kelly, died in September. Survivors include a son, Larry Kelly of Cincinnati; daughters, Janet Averbeck of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Linda Seiter of Ft. Mitchell, Peggy Kelly of Covington and Dottie Egan of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Paul Kelly of Villa Hills; and 10 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright. Memorials are suggested to ALS/Lou Gherig's Disease charities, or St. Vincent DePaul Society, 115 Main St., Newport 41016.
