THE PARIS NEWS, Aug 30, 2011, page 3. - Judy Kay Ambs, 58, of Paris, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received her into their care. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Chicota Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Taylor officiating. Burial is to be in Forest Chapel Cemetery. The family is to receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born in Paris on May 4, 1953, one of three children from the marriage of Lloyd Keller and Juanita Stillwell Keller. She graduated from Chicota High School in 1971. She married Timothy Norris on June 19, 1971, and they had two children, Jamie Kay and Kevin. Judy Kay attended and was a faithful member of Bethel Temple Church in Paris, where she loved singing God's praises. She was a proud member of The Eastern Star/Paris Chapter No. 5 and equally proud of her membership and participation with Family Haven, The American Red Cross and The Interfaith Disaster Service. She was happiest when she was spending time with her children. She was a great friend with a big heart, a sweet smile and a wonderful sense of humor. Her kind words were always genuine and offered with deep sincerity. On Oct. 9, 1996, she married Mike Ambs, building close to six years of happiness and wonderful memories before his death on Aug. 13, 2002.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be remembered by her daughter, Jamie Kay Norris Eady and husband, Gerome, of Canton; a son, Kevin Norris and wife, Janna, of Honey Grove; a stepson, Martin Fritz Ambs; grandchildren, Devin Faber, Taylor Norris, Payton Norris, Gayla Eady, Ryan Eady and Ashley Eady; a sister, Nancy Keller Hill and husband, Travis; a brother, David Keller; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Casket bearers are to be Scottie Babb, Louis Bowerman, Devin Faber, Chet Cook, Johnny Kelley and Teddie Gibson.
