Ruby B. Bandy, 85, of Terre Haute passed away Monday December 26, 2011 at 9:09
p.m. in her home.
She was born July 24, 1926 in Seelyville, Indiana to Emery Sampson Keller and Flossie
Marie Spears Keller.
Ruby was a homemaker. She formerly attended the Seelyville United Methodist Church.
She loved her garden and her yard. She was a poem writer. She played the piano and
especially enjoyed playing for her church. Ruby loved to read and travel and especially
loved her family.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard "PeeWee" Bandy,
who died April 1, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Keller.
Ruby is survived by daughters, Linda Smith and her husband, Alan, of Terre Haute and
Kelly Davis and her special companions, Cirrus and Rowdy, also of Terre Haute, and
Nancy Diel and her husband, Drew of Summerfield, Florida. She is also survived by a
sister, Pauline Bell Miller and her husband, Harold, of Danville, Illinois; a sister-in-law,
Norma Keller of Brazil, Indiana; five grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Kip Smith and his wife
Sharla, Drew Diel, Jr. and his wife Tracy, Jody Rasnick and her husband Rick, Chad Diel
and his wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Chloe, Landon, Brynley, Haley,
Thomas, Andrew, Tyler, and Abby; a niece, Diane Robertson and six nephews.
Memorial service will be Friday December 30, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral
Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana with a gathering from 2:00 p.m.
until service time. Cremation has been chosen. Pastor Doug Carter will be officiating.
Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Online condolences may be
