Born November 8, 1924 in Shadeland, IN, she was the daughter of the late Clarence F. and Minnie (DeFreese) Keizer.
Her marriage was to John Dexter in 1942 and they raised three boys together. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Rebecca was a Customer Service Representative for Payless Supermarkets for 28 years. She then worked as a cashier at Walmart for 14 years. Rebecca was a former member of the First Reformed Church and enjoyed camping, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards, especially euchre.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen (Sue) Dexter of Brookston, and Denny (Kay) Dexter of Carmel, a granddaughter, Suzanne E. Dexter, and a great-grandson, David A. Burns.
Preceding her in death with her parents and husband are a son, Philip Dexter; four sisters, Margaret Morgan, Jennie Dunnewold, Ann Dill, and Effie Bol; a brother, John Keizer; and a grandson, Adam S. Dexter.
