Marilyn was born February 23, 1957, in Tiffin, to the late Charles F. and Mary E. (Ferstler) Kays. She was a loving wife to Edward A. Broski for 36 years and they where married at the Burgoon United Methodist Church on October 12, 1974 and he survives.
Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter-in-law, aunt and friend. Marilyn is survived by her children, Carrie Broski of Burgoon, Jebidiah (Stephanie) Broski of Bettsville, Eddie (Nicole Harrison) Broski of Bettsville, Kristina (Chet) Young of Fremont, Hattie Broski of Burgoon; 12 grandchildren; five sisters, Charlotte Cook of Clyde, Sandy Hicks of Helena, Patricia Bundschuh of Fremont, Jayne Wheeler and Tammy Kays both of Fostoria.
Marilyn was a dedicated manager at a group home in Burgoon. Marilyn was so kind and loving to everyone she encountered. She was beloved by all who met her. The seeds of love she planted will continue to grow in our children's children. We lost an angel, but God gained one. Marilyn will be most dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Salem United Methodist Church in Bettsville with Pastor James Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Bettsville. Burial will follow the services on Saturday at the Smith Cemetery.
