BEULAH GRANDGEORGE, 93, Webster City, died Dec. 2, 2002 at Crestview Manor in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home, Webster City, with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at Webster City.
Beulah Viola Karr, daughter of Charles and Margaret Houston Karr, was born Oct. 2, 1909 in Webster City. She attended Webster City schools, graduating in 1926. She then attended Webster Junior College and Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. On July 9, 1933, she married Ralph W. Grandgeorge at Webster City. The couploe resided in Webster City. She attended Drake University, then taught in rural schools, Fremont #2, Fremont #4 and Pleasant Hill. She taught at Sunset Heights Elementary School for 14 years, retiring in 1971. Mr. Grandgeorge died on May 7, 1900. She had resided at Crestview Manor for the past two years.
Mrs. Grandgeorge is survived by daughter, Joyce Alberts of Cedar Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Beth & Don Bottorff, Webster City; grandchildren, Debra & Jeffrey Grummer, Ames, David & Lynn Alberts of Mountain Lakes, NJ., Steven Alberts of Sandwich, NH., Susan & Paul Ahlers of Fort Dodge, Douglas & Margaret Bottorff, Iowa City, Shelly & Patrick Farley of Webster City; great-grandchildren, Megan, Matthew and Molly Grummer, Michael, Emily and Patrick Alberts, Benjamin and Kate Ahlers; sister, Eunice Moberly, Pacific, MO.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Floyd, and Lloyd Karr; sister, Anna Potter; and son-in-law Lyle Alberts.
