Laura Kambitsch, a resident of Santa Cruz since 1924, died Saturday in a local nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Kambitsch, 88, was born in Sedalia, Mo., where she was reared and attended schools. The family latere moved to Idaho, where she was married.
Her home in Santa Cruz was at 919 Walnut Avenue.
Mrs. Kambitsch was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Altar Society of Holy Cross Church.
Services will be from White's chapel, 138 Walnut Avenue, at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, then to the Holv Cross Church for a requiem mass at 9 a.m. The rosary will be recited! in the mortuary chapel tonight j at 7:30.
Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew Kambitsch of Santa Cruz, and Frank Kambitsch of Lewiston, Idaho; a daughter, Josephine Hale of Santa Cruz; a sister, Ann Gesellchen of Santa Cruz; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
