The Daily Register Wednesday, July 9, 1958: Death Takes Mrs. Louis (Amelia) Aaron; Funeral Will Be Friday

Mrs. Louis (Amelia) Aaron died at 2:30 p.m. yesterday in Lightner hospital, where she had been taken July 2. Death was attributed to acute lymphatic leukemia.

The death came as a shock to her relatives and friends. Her husband said that she apparently was in good health at the time of her physical examination taken in April.

She had been active in the work of the Saline County Historical Society, and the Shawnee Hills Recreation Association, in which Mr. Aaron has served as officer.

She also was a member of the St. Ann Altar Society of St. Mary's Catholic church of Harrisburg, to which she belonged.

The body was moved from the Martin funeral home at Eldorado today to the Aaron residence at 321 East Locust street, Harrisburg, to lie in state until the funeral. Rites will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Wolf Creek cemetery, Eldorado. Rev. T.G. Bruns, pastor of St. Mary's will officiate at the funeral service.

The Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Aaron home here.

Mrs. Aaron who would have been 53 yeaars old August 1, was born in Scranton PA, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kale (Clevinsky). The family moved to Harrisburg when she was five.

For 27 1-2 years she was employed at the City National bank and another six years she worked at the Harrisburg National bank. She also had been emplyed at Winnerman and Winkeman's jewelry stores before she retired last February.

She and Mr. Aaron were married in December of 1935.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Rogers of Harrisburg, and her children, Al Rogers of Harrrisburg and Billy Rogers of Pontiac, Michigan.; a sister, Mrs Ann Dragoo of Fairmont, West Virginia, and Mrs. Dragoo's children, Bill Stark and Mrs. Willard Roy of Fairmont and Mrs. Antoinette Cole of Morgantown, West Virginia.
