daughter of George Jr & Carol Judy Nelson NE Julene "Julie" K. Andersen, 49, died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at her home after a long bout with cancer.





Julie was born October 11, 1959 to George Donald and Carol Ann (Bice) Judy in Superior, NE. She was a long time member of the Girl Scouts and other extra curricular activities in high school where she graduated from Nelson High School in 1972.





Julie married Steven Darling, June 7, 1980 in Hastings, NE and to this union a son, Shane M. Darling was born in February, 1982. She married the late Larry Puyear in May of 1988.





Julie graduated from Mary Lanning School of Radiological Technology in June of 1988. She worked at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital for many years before graduating from Central Community College Registered Nurse Program in 2002. She worked as an RN at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital before becoming a Travel Nurse. She married Nels David Andersen on May 1, 2004 after a 6 year engagement. They resided in Hastings.





She was member of the Eagles Aerie #592, Southern Hills Golf Course, NWGA and the ASRT.





She is survived by her husband Dave, of Hastings, NE, son Shane Darling & wife Sarah of Costa Mesa, CA, step-son, Matthew Andersen & wife Stephanie and their daughters, Zoiee and Payslee; step-daughter Carissa Andersen and daughter, Madalyn, and step-daughter Jenna Andersen, all of Hastings, NE; parents George & Carol Judy of Nelson and Nels & Joan Andersen of Hastings, NE; brother Daniel Judy & wife Brenda of Deshler, NE, sister, Kathleen Holloway & husband Wayne of Napoleonville, LA and sister Teresa Judy of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law, Cindy Garcia & husband Greg of Hastings, NE and many nieces and nephews.





Services were held Thursday, November 13, 2008 from the All Saints Chapel, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings - Village with the Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating.





Burial was in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE.
