Mrs Verda Ethel Conrad, 41, wife of Denver J. Conrad died last Thurday shortly after being admitted to Grant Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health some time. Born in Pendleton County, she was the daughter of Oce and Orpha Shreve Judy, Smoke Hole. Surviving besides her husband and parents, are two sons, Gerald W. Conrad, Romney, and Jack L. Conrad at home; five daughters, Jennifer, Norma and Marcella Conrad, all at home, and Mrs Ella Trumbo and Mrs. Virginia Judy, both of Harrisonburg, VA; two brothers, Denver Judy Upper Tract, and Rodney Judy, Brushy Run; two sisters, Mrs. Vada Shreve, Smoke Hole, and Mrs. Goldie Kimble, Brushy Run. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bird officiating, assisted by Dr. Hugh Allen. Interment was in Maple Hill cemetery.
