Funeral of Alexander H. Jones
The funeral of Alexander Hamilton Jones was held this morning at 10:30 o'clock from the chapel in Oak Hill Cemetery, where the interment occurred. The services were conducted by Rev. E.M. Thompson, assistant rector of St. Paul's Church on 23d Street. Mr. Jones died Friday at his home, 2909 Olive Avenue, at the age of seventy-two years. He was a native of Cambridge, Maryland, but had been a resident of this section for about sixty-five years. He was for about twenty years employed in the patent office, but retired about a year ago. He leaves a widow, one daughter, Mrs. J. [John] W. Ridgway and a granddaughter, Miss B.A. Ridgway, all of whom resided with him.
