The date on Alma's grave marker appears to be incorrect. Alma was my grandmothers oldest sister, born in 1916. Records confirm this, including the 1920, 1930 and 1940 Census records, the North Carolina Birth Index, the U.S. Obituary Collection, the U.S. Social Security Applications and Claims Index and the U.S. Social Security Death Index.
