Entered into rest on February 25th at her Spokane home. Born in Great Falls, MT, on July 25, 1940 to John and Georgina (Pistoria) Jones, Clara graduated high school in June 1958, was married on June 7, 1958 to Jerry Brodeur, and they moved to England.
Clara and Jerry raised three children and have lived in their present home since 1970. She worked many jobs throughout her life, including, waitress, florist, grocery checker, bartender, and bingo worker. She was a wonderful cook and fed anyone and everyone who walked into their house. But Clara's most enjoyable time was spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is now survived by her husband of 50+ years, Jerry, at home; her son, Jerry Brodeur, Jr.(Michelle); her daughters, Belinda Arnold and Brenda Weidman (Ron); a sister, Dorothy Schmidt (Don) of Great Falls, MT; a brother, Thomas Jones (Jean) of Arizona; grandchildren, Skye, Michelle (Ryan), Lyndsey (Dillon), Jenna, Josh, Julie Weidman, and Jonathan Weidman; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Wyatt, and Cheyenne; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held tomorrow, Friday, February 27th, between the hours of 9 am and 8 pm, also on Saturday morning between 9 am and noon. Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the CHAPEL OF FLOWERS,RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA, with Pastor Doug Monday officiating. Private interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Lung Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
