Donald Edward Jones, age 75, of Dandridge TN, formerly of Columbus, Ohio. Passed away August 27, 2004 after a long illness. Born October 9, 1928 in Bluefield, WV. The son of the late Raymond Jones and Florence Ratliff Jones. He was a Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. Retired from Cardinal Industries in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his wife, Linda "Gay" Jones and a son, Kenneth Sterling Jones. Survived by two sons and two daughters, Dick Jones of Williamson, WV, Duncan (Linda) Jones of Columbus, OH, Karen (Tennis) Maynard of Louisa, KY, and Kimberly (Charles) Mills of Dandridge, TN.; grandchildren, Eric Jones, Brandon Jones, and Colbie Maynard; great grandson, Eric "E.J." Jones; step grandchildren, Josh Mills, C.E. Mills, and Travis Brumfield; brothers, John Jones of Ashville, OH, and Winfred Jones of Princeton, WV, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Monday 6-8 and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm. where funeral service will be held Wednesday 1 p.m. Venney Vanhoose officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
