Julie Ann Jones Johnson returned to her heavenly home after confronting cancer with charm, wit and grace. Surrounded by her family and close friends for the last few days, she has been an inspiration with her cheerful assurance that all is well. She eagerly looks forward to being reunited with her loving parents Benjamin F. and Mary Hadley Jones. She had a fabulous life here on Earth. Julie was born in Salt Lake City. She graduated from Highland High School and later attended the University of Utah where she graduated with a degree in Secondary Education. She was married and sealed to Kent Nye Johnson, September 17, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. Kent and Julie lived in Colorado and St. Louis, Missouri before settling in Salt Lake City to be near family and friends. Above all, Julie loved to share the wonders of the world with her family and helped to nurture them in enduring love for singing, good books, clean kitchens and Christmas programs. All those who have come to know and love Julie have been in some way blessed by her desire to serve, love, advise, teach and bring brightness and hope to others. She has shared her love of the Savior and his gospel through many committed years of service in the Primary, Young Women's Organization, Relief Society, and church choirs and performances. Julie is survived by her husband of 41 years, she is his true love and eternal sweetheart. Also, by her nine children, Eric and Jenifer Johnson, D. Brooke and Karin Johnson, Christopher and Janice Johnson, Jill Elizabeth and Todd Holmberg, Lindsay and Gavin Christensen, J. Kelly and English Brooks, Ashley Johnson and Jess Theodore, Taylor JoAnn Johnson, Bradley Johnson, 10 grandchildren that will all dearly miss their "Grandma Julie", and brother, Ben F. and Jean Jones.
