DOROTHY N. HIRNER (JOHNSON), age 95, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011, at Essington Place in Joliet.
Dorothy is survived by her loving family, children, Brian (Joann) Hirner, Bruce Hirner, Susan (Raymond) Porto and brother Willard Johnson. Loving Grandmother of Tony Porto, Pamela McMurtrey, Michael Porto, Leann Hirner and six great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Hirner, siblings, Ione Gustafson, Lester Johnson, Margaret Minen, Ivan Johnson, Madeline Lyon and an infant grandchild.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church and Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran church in Lockport. She was an avid bowler and served as Secretary of the Senior leagues.
Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church, 925 E. 9th Street, Lockport. Interment, Lockport City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
