Mrs. C. L. Hood Called By Death Here Thursday

Death of Mrs. Katie Hood, widow of C. Luther Hood, occurred at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at her home, 200 East Washington Street, where she had been ill some time.

The funeral service was set for 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at Brown-Roden funeral home on South Twenty-second street, conducted by the Rev. Travis A. White of First Christian church, assisted by the Rev. Presley F. Herndon of First Congregational church, with interment at Evergreen cemetery.

Charles and Louis Williams, Louis Stringer, Rafe Biard, Ed DeWeese and Frank Johnson were named pallbearers.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maud Hutchings and Misses Minnie Bell and Rebecca Hood, all of Paris; three brothers, George and Bob Johnson, also of Paris, and Frank Johnson of Lubbock, besides several nieces and nephews, among them Gaines Hood of Dallas, whom she reared.

She was born February 17, 1885 at Biardstown and had lived all her life in Lamar County. She was a member of First Christian church here.
