Funeral services for Allen E. Johnson, 67, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Monday at College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating and the Rev. Frank Fincher assisting. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, in Lubbock. He was born April 29, 1943, in Clyde, Texas, to Thomas and Cleo Dora Johnson. He married Evelyn Yarbrough on March 15, 1964, in Kress. He worked at Green Machinery and Gebo's before starting Modern Well Service in 1974. He served on the Texas Groundwater Association Board since 1992.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tom and Shannon Johnson of Brownwood and Charlie Johnson of Plainview; one brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Joyce Johnson of Plainview; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and the Rev. Frank Fincher of Stockton, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Andrew Johnson and Alyssa Johnson, both of Brownwood.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard "Dick" Johnson, in 2005.
