Mary Kathleen (Kathy) Johnson, age 79, a resident of Boerne, Texas went home to be with the LORD on July 12, 2009. Kathy was born to Roy Seaborn and Mary Geneve Neill Taylor on August 17, 1929 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. She graduated from Byrd High School in 1946 and attended her 50th class reunion in 1996. Kathy worked at Alamo Iron Works, Westinghouse and Sinclair Refinery in San Antonio. She also helped her husband Alvin with administrative duties in his bookkeeping service. Kathy is Past President of the Pershing Lodge 160, Order of the Sons of Hermann in San Antonio, Texas. She is a member of the First Baptist Church in Boerne. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers James William Taylor and Bruce Judson Taylor; daughter Nancy Bowyer, Kathy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alvin; sons, Duane Johnson and wife Dinah of Waring, Texas, Bob Goodwin of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Eloise Pate and Kay Harrison and her husband Luther both of Alvarado, Texas; brother, Roy F. "Ben" Taylor and wife Joyce of Rusk, Texas; grandchildren, Brian Bowyer, Matthew Johnson and Brett Johnson, and a number of nieces and nephews. Kathy's family would like to give a "Special Thanks" to Hospice Care for their Tenderness and care during this time. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Vaughan's Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 15, at 10 am also at Vaughan's Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Meadows, officiating.
