In addition to his wife, he was survived by two sons, Floyd and John Jennings; a brother, Harold Jennings; two sisters, Velna Sivert and Norma Wilson; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Veris 'Bud' Jennings and an infant brother.
Graveside services for Leland Dale Jennings were held on August 2, 2000 in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery south of Lawrenceville, Illinois.
