Patricia L. (Jenkins) Boock was born to E. Drew Jenkins and D. Jean Jenkins (Arnold) on Dec. 12, 1954, in Nanticoke.
She grew up in Berwick with her two brothers, Kenneth and Richard, and graduated from Berwick High School in 1972. After graduation, she worked for Wise Foods for 14 years.
She married Thomas Boock of Sugarloaf on May 17, 1980. They resided in Sugarloaf on a bucolic farm. She had two children, Jason T. Boock and Jennifer L. Boock, and was a stay-at-home mom.
In 1999, Patti and Tom purchased a Rita’s Italian Ice franchise in Hazleton, where she could always be found with a smiling face, talking to the customers.
She passed away suddenly in the early morning of May 3, 2017, at Hershey Medical Center.
She is remembered as a person of selfless generosity, with a contagious smile and laugh. She was devoted to her family and her profession. Patti will be missed by all, and we are lucky to have spent time with her.
