Mildred Barker, 82 years old, resident of Columbus, passed away Monday, March 29, 2010. Mildred love to fish, camp, cook, play cards, quilting, crocheting, and spoiling her grandchildren, great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents David E. and Minnie (Coffee) Jenkins, seven sisters and six brothers. Mildred was survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert L. Barker; one daughter, Glenis Miller; two sons, Gary and Larry (Patricia) Barker; two sisters, Emmogene Eskew and Dorolene Parsons; eight grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service on Friday, April 2, 2010, at 11 a.m., all at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME SW CHAPEL, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Interment immediately following service in Sunset Cemetery. Messages for the family may be left at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
