Mrs. Bookout was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John Fred Bookout; grandson, Bradley Bookout; brothers, Glenn, Lander, Melvin, Carl and Leonard Jenkins; sisters, Vergie Carpenter, Margaret Jenkins, Ethel Falls and Ollie Dameron.
Mrs. Bookout was a retired bank teller with BB&T and she was a long standing member of First United Methodist Church in Gastonia.
Interment in Gaston Memorial Park.
