Anna Viola Jenkins was born October 4, 1909, in Clinton, the daughter of Luther L. Jenkins and Pearl May Daugherty Jenkins.

She passed away at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton on July 22, 1991, following a stroke.

She was raised on a farm in the Garland and Clinton areas and continued living in this area all her life.

On April 4, 1929, she was married to Hughlen Theodore Hudgens and to this union three children were born, two of whom now survive. One son, David Luther, died in infancy.

She was a nurse nearly all her working life.

She was employed by the Old Stebbins Hospital before her marriage.

The following the death of her husband, she again returned to nursing at the Clinton General and Wetzel Hospitals until her retirement.

She was a member of the Northeast Baptist Church in Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her infant son; also and infant grandson, Nathan Kit Anderson.

She leaves two daughters, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, two sisters.

Funeral services were Wednesday, July 24, 1991, at the Consalus Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton.

Burial was in Englewood Cemetery.
