Daughter of Agnes Jean Logan and George Mason. On August 23, 1930, Virginia married William Dixon Barnett, and they had three children.

Virginia Barnett later married Valentin J Jeannet.

FORT WORTH - Virginia A. Jeannet, 86, a retired credit manager, died Wednesday, April 2, 1997, at an area nursing home.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Virginia A. Jeannet was born Nov. 12, 1910, in Fort Worth. She had been a Fort Worth resident most of her life. She graduated from Fort Worth Central High School in 1928. She retired from Monnigs Wholesale in 1972, where she was a credit manager for 25 years. She was a member of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Dannett Barnett.

Survivors: Husband, Val Jeannet of Fort Worth; sons, William D. Barnett of Decatur and Jack E. Barnett of Benbrook; daughter, Elizabeth Barnett Bains of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
