Daughter of Amanda Campbell (1810-1855) and Benjamin Shreve (1800-1880). Married James in 1857 and had two sons: Edwin and Robert. Amanda, James, and both their sons and their families moved from Texas to Oklahoma between 1889 and 1900, possibly participating in the land rushes. Their three farms were next to each other in 1900 Lexington, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. In 1900, Amanda had 12 grandchildren living on the farms next to hers.
