Funeral service for Mrs. Charles Adams of Savanna, who died Saturday in a Sterling hospital, was today at 2 p.m. in Christian Funeral Home. The Rev. C. B. Hewitt, pastor of Milledgeville Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. She was born June 16, 1884, the daughter of Richard and Mary Treloar James. Her marriage to
Charles Adams took place Dec. 27, 1901, in Mount Carroll. Survivors include her husband; two daughters Mrs. P. K. Goldthorpe of Milledgeville and Mrs. Joseph Mullen of Chicago; three sons, Forrest of Hanover, Harold of Clinton, Iowa, and Sam of Savanna; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Adams of Galesburg and Mrs. Walter Adams of Savanna; two brothers, Vyvyan and Floyd, both of Savanna; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. -- Mon., Nov. 4, 1957, Freeport Journal Standard, pg. 4
