Julia Frances Cooke was the daughter of Henry Marchant Cooke and Frances Barry Buxton. She married George W. James sometime between 1835 and 1843 in Texas. George and Julia (Cooke) James had one daughter, Elizabeth F. "Fannie" James, born 1843 probably in Montgomery Co., Texas. "Fannie" married Josiah Young Rogers. Julia and George were living in Washington Co., when the 1860 Census was taken. George died before the 1870 Census. He is probably buried somewhere in that county.
