Bennie Ray Jacobs was born March 19, 1948. He was the youngest of three sons to Clara Ruth and Grady Lee Jacobs of Acworth, Georgia. He graduated from North Cobb High School in 1966 and then entered the Carpenters Union. He later went back to school and obtained his EMT certificate and served Cobb and Newton counties for more than a decade. He later re-entered the construction industry where he used his emergency medical training as a safety engineer for several large construction firms in and around the Atlanta until he became disabled in 2002. He found the greatest joys in simple things-being with family and friends, vacationing at the Outer Banks, and road-trips with his wife Jo Ellen. He was a proud member of Cross Roads Baptist Church of Social Circle.

Funeral services will be held Sunday December 6, 2009 at 2:00pm from the Cross Roads Baptist Church
with Pastor Brandon Stanley and Pastor Edward Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park cemetery Kennesaw, GA., at 4:30pm Sunday. The family will family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday and Saturday at Horis A. Ward Rockdale Chapel at 1999 Hwy 138 SW Conyers, GA.
Surviving are; Wife, JoEllen Jacobs, son Brett and wife Jennifer, daughter, Kelly and husband Scott Trawick, Brother, David and wife Rose Jacobs grandchildren, Bruce, Hannah, Alex Caleb and Jacob, great grandson, Hunter. Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in charge of arrangements (770) 422-7299.
