Funeral service for Opal Marie Lough was June 18, 2005 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel in Salem with Bro. Rick Pitchford officiating.
A tribute poem was read by her granddaughter, Melissa Lough.
Congregational singing was led by Tom Fleenor.
Interment was in Jadwin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steve Jacobs, Mike Lough, Tom McCracken, Leroy Kunkel, Greg Gorman and Warren and Jackie Lough. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry and Greg Lough, Tom Richardson, Derric and Don Lough, and Keith Schafer.
Mrs. Lough was born September 12, 1917 in Gladden to Lawrence and Lillie Francis (Jones) Jacobs. She married Warren Leo Lough. Mrs. Lough died June 13, 2005 at the age of 87 years.
Survivors include two sons, Jackie Lough of Salem and Warren Lough and wife, Linda, of Florissant; three brothers, Kermit Jacobs of Salem, Jack Jacobs and wife, Opal, of Salem, and Dale Jacobs and wife, Mary, of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Crystal McCracken and husband, Tom, of Salem, Melissa Lough of Salem, Jennie Lough of St. Charles, and Mike Lough and wife Ellen of Lake St. Louis; and seven great grandchildren, Alison, Emily, Mallorie, Brendon, Derric, Kirsten, and Bailey.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, William Jacobs.
Mrs. Lough was a member of the Church of Christ in Salem.

There are a lot of wonderful things in this world. But, God has given me one of the best. He gave me a mother that no other but maybe Mary the mother of Jesus could compare with.
Thanks mom, for being a great mom. Thanks for influencing my daughter and my family the way you have. Thank you most of all for being a great Christian Lady.
