Carl B. Jackson, 85, of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., formerly of Springfield, died at 5 p.m. Friday at Bon Secour Hospital, Grosse Pointe Farms. He was born in Waverly Oct. 18, 1903, the son of Edward and Elizabeth Hartley Jackson. His wife, Marian, preceded him in death in 1979.

Mr. Jackson was retired from Sangamo Electric. He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church, AF&AM Central Lodge 71, Springfield Consistory, Ansar Shrine, High-12, Sangamo Retirees Club, Order of the Eastern Star, Lalla Rookh Chapter 218, AARP, and Senior Men's Club of Grosse Pointe.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Martin (Edna) McKee of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one nephew.

Services at Third Presbyterian Church, Dr. Robert Langworthy officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
