At the Rosary Hill Home. Son of the late Ambrose Cyprian Jackson, Sr. & Helen Brown Jackson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Jackson, in 1973.

He received two master's degrees and a PhD and was an accomplished musician. He arranged and composed music, and was a renowned trumpeter.

He was a music teacher for the Ellenville Central School District, where he taught for more than ten years. Prior to teaching at Ellenville, he lived in Paris, France for 11 years.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965, where he shared musical stylings at the White House for Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, with the U.S. Army Band and the Herald Trumpets. Dr. Jackson was a communicant and choir director at the St. Mary and St. Andrew Catholic Church in Ellenville.

He is survived by cousins, Lynne, Cathy, Mark, & Bobby Elliott.

Interment with full military honors followed funeral services conducted at the Mount Olivet Chapel, Washington, Monday, November 23, 2009.
