James Willard (Jimmy) Jackson, 91, of Russellville, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
The son of John and Etta Nix Jackson, he was born March 9, 1916 in Russellville. He married Aretha James, on January 9, 1933 at Russellville. He worked as a Custodian at Arkansas Tech for many years. He was a member of Lane Chapel in Russellville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James R. Jackson; two daughters, Priscilla Williams and Shirley Givan.
Survivors include his wife, Aretha Jackson of Russellville; four sons, John C. Jackson of Russellville, Raymond N. Jackson & wife Peggy of Russellville, Elvin K. Jackson & wife Yvonne of Russellville, and Willard C. Jackson of Russellville; two daughters, Mary E. Daniels of Fresno, California, Mamie J. Franklin & husband Thomas of Russellville; 35 grandchildren, 128+ great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 27, 2007 at Lane Chapel. Rev. Carl Parks will officiate. Burial will be at Reed Cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Thursday 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
