Dansville, N.Y. — Viola S. Jackman, 91, formerly of Twin Drive in Dansville, passed away Saturday morning (March 10, 2012) at the Hospeace Home in Naples.
She was born in Palmerton, Pa. on April 12, 1920, a daughter of the late Frank and Ellen (Dieffenderfer) Sherwood.
On Jan. 12, 1946, she was married to Clarence L. Jackman, who predeceased her on Jan. 23, 2007.
She was also predeceased by a grandson, Brett Jackman in 2001.
Viola was a member of the Dansville United Methodist Church. She had worked in the Bindery at the former Dansville Press. Viola had also worked for the Gunlocke Chair Company in Wayland, and the Blum Shoe Factory in Dansville.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Susan) Jackman of Colorado; and her grandsons, David and Kyle Jackman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Dansville United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in Ossian Center Cemetery, Ossian.
