Moad J. Ivy, 88, of Olney died Tuesday October 26, 1999 in Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ivy was a resident of Sun Bridge Red Hill Nursing Home in Sumner.

Funeral services at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Keith Krueger officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery in Claremont.

Mr. Ivy was born in Richland County August 7, 1911, the son of Samuel Pearl and O'Dessa Mae Ivy. He married Sarah Elizabeth Herdes Wimberly October 15, 1965 in Bedford, Indiana. She survives.

He retired from AMF Bicycle Factory in 1975. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Olney, and was a member of the Richland County Farm Bureau.

Mr. Ivy is survived by his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Ivy of Sun Bridge Red Hills Nursing Center in Sumner; one step-son, Jerry Wimberly and his wife, Brenda of Olney, two step-daughters, Betty Sommers of Olney and Barbara Wood and her husband, Phillip of Sumner; one adopted daughter, Carolyn Ann Hart of Wichita, Kansas; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ivy was preceded in death by his parents, and one step-son, Charles Wimberly.
