She was born August 19, 1918 in Nokmis, IL, the daughter of Rollie and Barbara (Kroenlein) Greif. She married LaVerne Iverson on March 10, 1943 in Somonauk. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk. She is survived by seven daughters, Bertha (Ted) Smith of Leland, IL, Barbara (David) Nelson of Leland, Linda (Carl) Kiest of Leland, Patricia (Robert) Guelde of Leland, Nancy of Somonauk, Lorena "Laurie" (Dale) Maitland of Somonauk and Bernie (John) Weymouth of Earlville; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Rollie Paul (Janet) Greif of Marengo; two sisters, Anna Murphy of Yorkville and Mary Fahrlander of Yorkville; a sister-in-law, Rose Greif of Sandwich; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and two sisters. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 7, 2005 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Fr. Donald D. DeSalvo officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at Turner Funeral Home in Somonauk.
