- ROCK HILL - Mrs. Doretha H. Isom, of 1849 Wildcat Creek Road, died Wed., Aug 18, 2010, at 1771 Colony Road, her daughter's home.
- Mrs. Isom was born on April 11, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Sam Harris and Ida Harris.
- She attended the public schools of York County and was a cook for the Rock Hill School District for many years. Mrs. Isom was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church for many years. She lived a good Christian life.
- She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert L. Isom of the home; daughters, Diane Douglas (David), Pamela I. Long (Quinton) and Sonya Isom (Al), all of Rock Hill; sons, William McNeil of Chicago, Robert Isom (Natalie) of Rock Hill; two special granddaughters, Shanta Moore (Harold) and Nakemia Douglas (Jonathan); brother, Jerry Harris of Rock Hill; sisters, Sallie Harris, Darelene Paige (Theodore) and Maggie Douglas, all of Rock Hill; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
- The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Nazareth Baptist Church, with the Rev. John T. McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
- Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at Parker Funeral Home.
