Blanche Mae Ismay 89 of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at Riverview Nursing Center in Mokane Mo. She was born February 5, 1920 in Callaway County near Mokane Mo. the daugter of the late Curtis G. and Gertrude (Serby) Corley. She was a graduate of Mokane Schools and attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
Blanche worked in the resturant buisness for many years, then was employed as a data processor at Missouri Farm Bureau and the State of Mo. , retiring from the State in 1986. She then worked for the National Suffolk Sheep office in Columbia, retiring there in September 1990. She was a member of Community Cristian Church.
Blanche is survived by two daughteras, JoAnne Johnson of Madera, California, Virginia "Ginny" Ismay of Marshall Mo. four grandsons, and three great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daugter, Seila Mae Manuel who passed away in 1982, one brother Louie Corley and two sisters, Rose "Bea" Hayes and Nettie Harmon.
Graveside services will be held at 11a.m. Monday August 17, 2009 at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Murl Nash officiating.
