Edna Isenhour Craig, 95 of Hudson, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Born July 7, 1917 in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Pinkney Hester Isenhour and Cora Belle Harris Isenhour.
Mrs. Craig was of the Baptist faith and retired from Shuford Mills after 41 years.
Mrs. Craig was a resident of Camelot Manor Nursing Facility for over five years. Her family would like to extend their great appreciation to the many wonderful caregivers who cared for her over the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Eugene Craig, four brothers; Dudley, Daniel, Torrance and Dethaniel Isenhour, one sister Edith Jones, and one great-grandson, Adam Wayne Carlton.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Carlton (Patricia) of Hudson, and Mrs. Bobby Lovins (Phyllis) of Lenoir; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Kent Craig (Mickey) of Hudson and Mrs. Kohn Sherrill (Bobbie) of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Mr. & Mrs. Edward Carlton (Sandra) of Dallas, TX., Mr. & Mrs. Brent Carlton (Tina) of Hickory, and Ms. Beth Jewson of Clemmons. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Chase Carlton and Cassie Carlton of Dallas, TX, and Bailey Carlton and Savanna Carlton, of Hickory and a special friend Mrs. Lucille Clark of Hudson and many others who loved her dearly, including numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Pendry's Chapel with Reverend Mike Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Hudson. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, October 9, 2012 from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM at Pendry's Funeral Home.
