Mary K. (Irwin) Barger, 83, formerly of Grand Parkway North, passed away at 12:10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Ohesson Manor.
Born July 15, 1936, in State College, she was the daughter of the late John W. Irwin and Florence (Wiser) Irwin.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Barger, Dec. 28, 2009, and a brother, Robert D. Irwin.
Mary is survived by her children, Stephen C. Barger and wife, Cynthia L. (Fleegal), of Lewistown, Robert J. Barger and wife, Cynthia L. (Price), of Mechanicsburg; and M. Jane Zappala and husband, Michael, of Downers Grove, IL.; and grandchildren, Lauren, Evan, Adam, Morgan, Jonathan, Ellen, Adrianne Barger and Lia and Nicolas Zappala.
She was employed at Mifflin County Savings Bank and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.
Mary was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewistown.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at the Barr Funeral Home and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown with Pastor Jerri Carlin officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be a time of visitation with the family Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
