ALBERT IRVINE
Albert Irvine, son of William and Margaret Irvine, was born August 20th, 1872 east of Russell, Iowa in Lucas County and passed away at the Peterson Nursing Home in Winterset, Ia., on July 22nd, 1952 at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 2 days.
He grew to manhood near Russell, and with the exception of a few years in other states, he spent the biggest part of his life in Lucas County.
In 1935 the family home was moved to Russell where in May, 1952 his wife passed away. He continued his home in Russell, until failing health made it necessary for him to give up his own home and move to his daughters home in Madison County near Lorimer, Iowa.
On January 27th, 1896 he was united in marriage to Esther Kimler and to this union were born five children, Waldo Platte, who passed away in infancy, Mrs. Meryle Wineinger, of Lorimer, Iowa, Paul V., of North Platte, Nebraska, Mrs. Velva Mumford, of Oshkosh, Nebraska, and Mrs. Merna McGill, of Peetz, Colo.
Besides his children he leaves 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Fenley of Mineral Point, Wisc., Mrs. Delta Stearns of Rice Lake, Wisc. and many other relatives and friends. He was a kind father, a loving husband, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
