Daughter of Henry and Clara (Heibel) Hoppe. She graduated from Schuyler High School and attended Midland College. She married John Ingold on November 9, 1940 in Columbus. Mildred taught school in Colfax and Platte counties. She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ and the women's fellowship. She served as a girl scout leader and on the council, she served on the Senior Advisory Board. Mildred was a past member of the Columbus Housing Authority Board. She was active in church functions, enjoyed playing bridge, extension club, gardening and cooking, especially rolls and pies.
