That index has a huge glitch in that thousands of persons who were actually born in 1900 are incorrectly listed as 1901, which makes it hard to determine if a person was actually born in 1901. That being said, the Minnesota records have her birth year as 1901. Her mother's name was listed as Grace Olive Grippen (born in Iowa).
