Berry Glenn Ijames, 69, resident of High Point, Rt. 2, died at his home last night. He was born in Davie County, February 14, 1880, a son of James Dennis and Mary Ella Coone Ijames. He owned and operated the B.G. Ijames Grocery store on Thomasville Road for the last 18 years. He was a member of People's Methodist Church and a member of Mechanicsville Junior Order.
On December 2, 1922, Mr. Ijames married to Minnie Lee Myers, who survives, along with three daughters; Mrs. Eva High, Mrs. Alma Ferree, and Mrs. Bernice Wood, all of High Point; three sons, Athel M. Ijames, and Protus F. Ijames, both of High Point, and Bruce Glenn Ijames, of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Mrs. Cora Walls, of Mocksville; and 11 grandchildren.Funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in People's Methodist Church.
