MOCKSVILLE - James Cleveland Ijames, 86, of Mocksville, died Monday (Oct. 24, 2005) in Davie County Hospital. Born May 4, 1919, in Davie County, Mr. Ijames was a son of the late John C. and Eula L. Blaylock Ijames. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Cooleemee, Gideons, VFW Post 1119, Disabled Veterans and Civitan Club. He was preceded in death by wife Hazel C. Ijames on Oct. 16, 2005; daughter Linda C. Land; one brother; and four sisters. Survivors include sons James E. Ijames of Timberville, Va., Gary M. Ijames of Mocksville and John C. Ijames and wife Jennifer of Fredricksburg, Va.; daughters Debra A. Wilson and husband Jerry of Mocksville and Eula F. Sievers and husband Timothy of Creiders, Va.; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Service : 11 a.m. Thursday at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Shelby Harbour officiating. Interment will follow at Legion Memorial Park with military rights performed by District II Memorial Honor Guard. Visitation : 7-9 tonight at Welch Funeral Home.
