Patricia Brooker
SALISBURY - Patricia Ann Ijames Brooker, 56, of 1911 Calvin Street, passed on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at CMC NorthEast in Concord.
She was born May 6, 1952 in Cooleemee to the late Samuel Benjamin Luckey and Alice Pruitt White of Cooleemee. Mrs. Brooker was a graduate of Davie High School and attended Salisbury Business Academy. She was last employed with F&M Bank as a Loan Officer.
Mrs. Brooker was raised in Liberty AME Zion Church, she was a current member of Cedar Grove AME Zion Church where she was over the AIDS ministry. She volunteered with Relay 4 Life, affiliated with the local Juneteenth Celebration, Blues & Jazz Festival, member of the Van Cruisers and was a salesperson with Jewelry by Parkland.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lewis Brooker, of the home; sons, Michael Levender (Donna) Pruitt, Levi Dwayne Pruitt and Matthew Lewis Pruitt, all of Salisbury; daughter, Jessica Lauren Brooker, of Raleigh; 8 grandchildren, Mik'quasha Pruitt, Miyanah Pruitt, Meoisha Pruitt, Damion Pruitt, Joshiah Pruitt, Briana Pruitt, Aliyah Pruitt and Elijah Pruitt; sisters, Mary Ellis, of Salisbury and Brenda (George) Annisette, of Stone Mountain, Ga.
Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday, at AR Kelsey Memorial Chapel, Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home. Rev. Lawson, Pastor of Liberty Hill AME Zion Church, will be officiating.
Burial: US National Cemetery, Statesville Blvd., Salisbury
