Helen Hyde
Helen Hyde, 76, of Wyaconda, Missouri, died Friday, November 11, in Laughlin Hospital, Kirksville, Missouri. She was born June 21, 1907 in Rushville, Illinois, the daughter of William and Margaret Davis Skyles. She married Virgil Hyde, September 14, 1927. She was a member of the Mount Moriah Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Virgil of Wyaconda, Missouri; sons Howard and his wife Connie of Luray, Missouri; Larry and his wife Kathy of Danville, Iowa; Maurice and his wife Norma of Eldora, Iowa; brothers, Howard Skyles of Benton, Kentucky; Ben Skyles of Seattle, Washington; sister, Ruth Boise of Memphis; and seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at 10:30, Monday, November 14, 1983, in the Payne-Gerth Chapel, Memphis, Missouri, with Rev. Brent Mustoe officiating. Burial was in the Brock Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Mount Moriah Methodist Church. Body Bearers were Ray Nelson, Rodney Smith, Gene Durham, Kenneth Eggleston, Lee Aylward, and Fred Bertram. Kenneth Campbell was soloist and Ann Luther was organist. Arrangements were by Payne-Gerth Memphis, Missouri.
