The Honorable John Taylor Hyde Sr was born on 23 September 1803 in North Carolina. He married Mary Pinnell. Their children were John, Benjamin, Alexander, Eliza, Elizabeth, Hardy, Flavius, Katherine, and Elias Hyde. After Mary died in 1854, Hyde married much younger Mary Isgrigg, a widow with seven children, 27 July 1858 in Washington County, Missouri. Their children were Susan, Jefferson, Frances, Laura, Emily, and John Hyde. Judge Hyde died, 22 November 1894, aged 91, in Crawford County, Missouri, and was buried in same cemetery as his first wife and several children.
