Elda Ruth Todd, 56, dies here Tuesday Mrs. Elda Ruth Todd, 56, of R.R 1 Jacksonville, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 25 at Passavant Hospital. She was born Sept. 21, 1930 in White Hall, the daughter of John B. and Maude Bruce Hutton. She married Howard Edward Todd on Jan. 21, 1967 in Jacksonville. He survives, along with four sisters, Mrs. Estill (Barbara) Gerald of Lincoln, Wanda Irene Stricter of Jacksonville, Ila Marie Hoots of Jacksonville and Betty Joan Kesterson of Woodson; seven brothers, Pernel Eugene Hutton of Bluffs, Bruce Ardel Hutton of Quincy, Lloyd D. Hutton of Lynnville, Kenneth Dale Hutton of Bluffs, John Junior Hutton of Bluffs, Richard Lynn Hutton of Benson, Arz., Larry Ray Hutton of Mansfield, Lo. She was preceded by four siblings, Donald Wayne Hutton, Jackie Lee Hutton, Floyd Gene Hutton, and Rosemary Hutton. She was a member of the Jacksonville Amvets Auxiliary, the Bluffs United Methodist Church, and worked for the secretary of the Dean of MacMurray College Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bluffs United Methodist Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Bluffs. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Mackey-Daws Funeral Home in Bluffs. Memorials are suggested to the Meredosia Rescue Squad or the Bluffs United Methodist Church.
